I feel, at least within the art circles I'm in, people are more accepting of breaking “the rules” than they were a bit ago. I tend to prefer cartoonier styles and ones that have been viewed as “ugly” and amateur. Style and Inspiration What would you call your art style? I'm not really sure!! People have said “weirdcore” which is a term I'm ambivalent about.

I used Tux Paint in it for many of the backgrounds and am continuing to use it in our current WIP film "Winter Wanderer" which we’re hoping to finish by the end of the year. What piece of art, or other creation, are you most proud of? I am very proud of the recent movies i’ve been making with my IRL friends!! The most recent one out as of now is called "Jethro’s Mirage", viewable on YouTube. What tips or tricks would you like to share with other aspiring artists? Make art as fun for yourself as you can!! And just like start a project!! I think its good to try and just make a lot of art fast for a period of time when you start out. Is there something you wish Tux Paint could do that it can't? I think lasso selection and transform tools would be really great, but may end up taking away from the simplicity of Tux Paint. When using Tux Paint specifically for art, I will sometimes finish it up in FireAlpaca in order to do color correction, import images, and do some transformation or cropping work. Bill: Bea created the animation for a music video using a combination of Tux Paint and Blender. It is one of my go to’s for UV texture creation and illustration.

Do you ever edit your Tux Paint art in other drawing programs or vice-versa? I will often use Tux Paint in tandem with software like Blender and MS Paint. Gradient GOAT! What other kinds of art tools do you use? I use MS Paint, Blender, FireAlpaca, Toon Boom, Davinci Resolve, KidPix, etc!! I also like to work physically with paper maché-esque techniques and oil pastels!! I like to explore mediums and software. How do you usually interact with Tux Paint? I mostly use a computer!! I flip flop between using mouse and tablet, both have merits and mouse can be very fun!! Otherwise I will use it on my iPad along with an Apple Pencil, and even sometimes I use my phone!! Literally u gotta love Tux Paint What are your "go-to" tools in Tux Paint? I love how Tux Paint handles gradients and I'm also a fan of all the magic tools!! Flowers are great and so are stamps, I also just generally love the brushes!! I do my best to use a lot of Tux Paints tools because they are fun and lovely. I first used Tux Paint in first grade on the school computers, but had no memory about what the software was until I was reminded of its existence at the beginning of last year by online artists. I'm also into cooking and walking my dog. What are your other hobbies? For hobbies I enjoy laughing with friends and sneaking in a cheaky gaming sesh every now and again. I’ve also just recently been getting into making t-shirts and customizing clothes with bleach, fabric paints, and stencils.
